Unlimited Free Photo Storage!

5 found it useful

I'm a photo taking addict - taking photos like space is free. But is it really free? You need your space for messages, and your whatsapp/telegram has photos and videos shared like nobody's business. I solved it with shoebox: https://shoeboxapp.com/ It is an free photo file storage application that can allow seamless photo (and video) backups over a very nice timeline that you can easily refer back to like opening up a shoebox in real life (or any other container that you use to store real...

Exam Taking Tips for Majority

9 found it useful

As a senior lecturer (means that I am quite old now), I am quite appealed that many NUS students encounter too many basic problems during exams, namely the over-fixation on one (hard) question too long and thus have no time to answer many other questions that are supposedly easier. NUS lecturers are tasked to create exam papers with original questions that can differentiate students achievements for that semester. Obviously it will contain several hard questions that are mostly only used to d...

The Fastest and Easiest Font To Read

5 found it useful

There’s a reason why Times New Roman is one of the most (if not the most) popular font – it’s the fastest and easiest font to read. Research has shown that Times New Roman is 7.45% faster to read than the second easiest-to-understand font, Verdana which is 3.45% faster than Arial. I guess it's time we all change the fonts on our study guides to Times New Roman.

Don't rush to clear GEMs, SS and breadths early

10 found it useful

Various GEMs, SS and breadths tend to be pretty lightweight modules, which attracts a lot of freshies to clear them in their earlier semesters. However, instead of rushing to fulfil your SS and GEM requirements early, it's a better idea to save up CORS points to bid for them much later (especially if they're really popular), as well as to complement these lightweight electives with heavier, project-intensive modules in your later semesters.

Efficient way to get to KR MRT from Computing/Biz!

4 found it useful

Just because A2 goes to KR MRT directly, you don't have to limit yourself to taking only A2! Don't hesitate to take A1 just because it stops at PGP. If A1 comes, just take it to PGP (you'll have to alight there) and wait there for A1/D2 bus! This route can even be faster than taking A2 and you don't have to squeeze like mad (and waste time waiting for the door to finally close)

Do you know? During weekdays, after 7:30pm parking in school is free! Even if it's staff carpark! Although it shows that you have to leave within 15min, it will not charge you! Furthermore on Saturdays, if you were to leave after 5pm, the gantry will be up! (hence free). And Sundays are free for the whole day too! (these information are all available on NUS website! Can read up more on it if any clarifications are needed)
